Shout Out!

A shout out goes out to our 8th grade science teachers for hosting their 1st ever Science Symposium.  Students engaged in “Genius Hour” where they spent time each day learning about an element of the universe that interested them.  Through this process, they became experts in their topic and shared their findings publicly with a HUGE audience (pictures below).  We received numerous compliments from our visitors who were all extremely impressed with the level of knowledge and presentation skills our 8th graders possessed.  Thanks to the 8th grade science team (Anna Sylvester, Kristie Brookes, and Randy Bergstrom) for their hard work as well as the risk they took in letting students lead the inquiry process.  We continue to do great things at FMS!!!

THIS WEEK!  FMS Drama presents The Last Gladiator

This week we will have performances on Wednesday the 8th and Thursday the 9th at 6:30 in the student Center

We would love to have you come and support the students.  Please bring a can food to contribute.  Everything donated will go to the food pantry.

Many people in the building have helped contribute to the show.

Thank you again.  Frontier Rocks!

From our Drama Directors (CJ, Malori, and Esther Butenschoen)

Reflective Friends Visit – 2/10, 2/13, 2/14

Beginning Friday, 2/10, Frontier will embark on its second round of Reflective Friends Learning Walks.  The purpose of these walks is to further develop our understanding of the EPS Essentials, what to look for, and how to think about supporting both teachers and students as we embed this work into our practice.

During this time, visitors from other sites within the district will be traveling Frontier, in and out of classrooms, and meeting with representatives from Advanced Learning Partnerships.

I would like to thank those who are opening their classrooms up for this experience.
